Ignite Sarnia at alt space

We had the pleasure to have hosted Ignite Sarnia at alt space on October 3rd 2018. If you haven’t heard about Ignite Sarnia, then it’s about presenters who get 20 slides that automatically advance every 15 seconds. This forces them to present fast and can have interesting results.

There was 7 incredible presenters :

Phil Smy

Phil Smy is originally from Sarnia. He lived in the United States, and across Europe before moving to Japan 6 years ago. He is an entrepreneur and runs 2 successful online companies – LotteryCanada.com and Zonmaster.com. He speaks and coaches on entrepreneurship and living a custom-made lifestyle. He is also a professional musician and holds a Masters Degree in Film.

Carrie Skinn – McEachran

When she isn’t spending time with her family of 7, two chickens, one dog and three ducks, Carrie is the Executive Director of Sarnia- Lambton Rebound. She is also the founder of www.frevolution.org and is currently writing her first book, which is exploring what makes women successful in leadership. Carrie is the Past President of the Rotary Club of Sarnia and has participated in local and provincial boards, with the most recent being the North Lambton Community Health Centre. She is very excited to be participating in the Sarnia Ignite event on October 3!

Kim Clark

Local Author, Kim Halerwich-Clark has written 7 self-development books. She has recently launched a visiting program in the Sarnia area that is geared towards seniors who do not receive social interaction on a regular basis. Her company, The Solution Wizard is all about helping people achieve overall well-being by focusing on Mind, Body and Soul.

Vic Laranja

Victor Laranja is a 26-year-old Entrepreneur born and raised in Sarnia, Ontario. He is an Expert in the field of Instagram Marketing, becoming the founder and President of the only Instagram focused marketing Agency in Lambton County; Social Gravity. Vic is also an accomplished Music Producer and Recording Artist. He has released 3 studio albums to date and is still releasing studio quality music under his artist alter ego; Vic Spacey. Victor is also a Lambton College, School of Business Alumni and plans on returning to school in January 2019 to begin working towards his MBA. His dedication to personal success and personal development has become evident through his work ethic and integrity. He practices meditation and lives a drug-free, alcohol-free lifestyle. He consistently sets goals at a level above his current ability; pushing him to grow in order to succeed. Overall, Victor is working to build an exciting and memorable career in business and music alike. Vic also helped found TMRRW INC.

Debbie Payne

Debbie is mother to Austin, who is 22 and finishing college (with any luck soon to be an empty nester), married to her supportive and loving husband, Steve, and as a RE/MAX realtor, she has had the privilege of helping families move for over 25 years. Causes that are close to Debbie’s heart are the Canadian Cancer Society and the Sarnia-Lambton District Humane Society.

Cat Cabajar

Cat Cabajar is an award-winning artist, entrepreneur, and motivational speaker. There are a lot of skills that have come naturally to Cat over the years but driving was not one of them. After surviving far too many accidents when she was younger she put off getting her license for several years. When she finally did attempt to take her driving test she learned a lot more about life than she could’ve possibly imagined. This Wednesday you’ll hear all the inspiring and entertaining details.

Thanks to everyone for coming out to Ignite Sarnia at alt space. The turnout was amazing and the presentations were short, sweet and thought-provoking. We’re excited to host more Ignite Nights in Sarnia.
